USAID GeoCenter Map Highlights Anti-Human Trafficking Efforts
The US Agency for International Development (USAID) supports MTV Exit, a campaign in Southeast Asia that fights human trafficking and exploitation. Sage employee Colleen Pulsford and her colleagues in the USAID GeoCenter conducted an analysis of MTV EXIT's anti-trafficking program in Thailand.
By mapping locations of MTV Exit events, analyzing Twitter data during these events, and reviewing indicators of human trafficking, the GeoCenter demonstrated how applying geographic analysis can help USAID and MTV Exit better geographically target future investments.
