Sage Supports Capital Area Food Bank

As part of the ongoing effort of Sage Management interacting with our communities, the Springfield office of Sage Management volunteered at the Lorton Capital Area Food Bank on May 3, 2012.  The Capital Area Food Bank is one of the largest, nonprofit hunger and nutrition education resource in the Washington Metropolitan area.  They are committed to uplifting those in need, providing the best services possible, and to help those who are without the means to help themselves.  Since 1980, they have made tremendous strides to annually distribute nearly 30 million pounds of food to nearly 478,000 people in need.

The volunteers worked with stocking food, toiletries and toys that were donated by local area businesses and individuals.  Stocking the food will help prepare loading boxes of food to be distributed to local area schools, shelters and to individuals in need.
